DJ Scully Farms began as a young boy who never realized how much the farm life would mean until he had a young boy of his own. Walking around the barn lot, feeding cattle, and fixing fence with my grandpa wasn’t always fun.. especially at that age. One day, Pa asked me if I wanted to farm for the rest of my life and from the moment I said yes, the passion has grown. The days never have slowed down and the workload has only increased but I never strayed away from the vision I had for this place.

As an adult with a family of my own, it’s turned into not just a job or a passion but a way of life. Farm life isn’t for everyone. It’s long days, many unpaid hours, hard work and takes patience, dedication and grit. Being able to have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Pa is a dream come true. To this day, he is still showing me my way around things and continuously making this dream turn into a reality for my family. As a father, I can only hope my son follows in my footsteps just as I did Pa’s.
